Panko Soft shell crabs

Panko soft shell crab, basic recipe 

2 cleaned soft-shell crabs (check out how to clean a soft-shell crab under tips & ideas)

1 egg

Half cup of Panko breadcrumbs

1 Tablespoon of flour 

Salt to taste  

Cooking oil  

1. Coat the crabs with flour (season the flour with salt first)

2. Gently move them to the lightly beaten egg wash and coat them for about a minute

3. Then Dip the crabs in the Panko crumbs and coat them well.

4.Put the crabs  in the freezer for 1-2 hours (optional) 

5.Heat the oil to 180 C and fry 1 crab at the time (to maintain the heat at 180 C)  for 2-3 min until golden brown

6. Remove the crab from oil and place on paper towels. Let them rest for 2-3 min before serving with your favourite sauce / dip
